About Us

We are the North Herts branch of the UK-wide Palestine Solidarity Campaign. In line with the goals of the PSC, we bring people together from all walks of life to campaign for Palestinian rights and freedom.

The history of the branch traces back to September 2014, when the two founding members met through a huge national lobbying initiative organised by the PSC in the wake of the Israeli assault on Gaza that year which killed nearly 1,500 Palestinian civilians. After a few years of attending national demonstrations and organising individually, they formally established the branch in 2018. Since then, we’ve grown a lot and we’ve organised a whole range of activities – from letter-writing campaigns, petitions and peaceful demonstrations, to public talks, film nights and fundraisers.

Today, we’re proud to have hundreds of subscribers to our mailing list and many more who follow us on social media. Our core region includes Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock, Royston, Knebworth, parts of Stevenage, and nearby villages. However, we have strong links with other parts of Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We also work with other local groups committed to social justice and human rights, including Amnesty International, faith groups and trade unions.

If you live in or around North Herts, we hope this site will offer a helpful guide to all the ways you can get involved!
